He had a love/hate relationship with it at first. He loved the taste but hated that it was so cold. After he got over the shock of the temperature, though, it was all love. I love the little smirk on his face in the picture with his messy face. I can only imagine what was going through his little head. It was very cute. Wee One got to be Mary, Bo was a shepherd, and Dewey was the honorary Baby Jesus (he sat in the audience with us). Gma and Gpa helped the kids tell the story and "herded the shepherds and wisemen" around. When we told the kids to go get their costumes on, Bo was very upset that he couldn't be a pirate, but he got over it quickly enough.

Sledding

We took the kids sledding today since it snowed all night. Dewey wasn't too excited about it, he took a nap, but Bo and Wee One had a blast. Daddy had to pull them most of the way down the hill for them to really get going, but they had fun. We played for about an hour and then headed home for grilled cheese sandwiches!! I think we'll need a better sled before we go again. There were some pretty cool ones at the hill today. Wee One wanted to try something she saw at the hill, but mom and dad said "no". There were a few people who would have their dogs pull them down the hill. It looked a little dangerous to me.

Mass Blogging.....Again!!

In a somewhat random order, here are the things that have been happening lately, and the pictures to prove it. (Note of interest: I took an Ambien about 30 minutes ago, so this should be great fun for all!!)

Dewey is the cutest baby in the whole world. He hates sleeping at night, so he will catnap throughout the day to build up his strength to stay awake all night. I mean, someone has got to keep mom up all night. It's a tough job, but he's very good at it. He was facinated by Christmas. Not so much the presents and stuff, but he loved the wrapping paper and lights. And apparently, some rum pudding so generously fed to him from an unnamed family member. Thanks for that, by the way. Here he is getting ready to throw a tantrum.

I gave him a Christmas ornament, and all was well. He is sitting by himself now, mostly. He has had several crashes that bring me running from the other room, but for the most part, he can do it all by "hims big boy".

Santa wasn't too much of an issue for him. He saw Santa twice this year and both times, he just sorta took it in stride. I guess he figures, "hey, at least someone is holding me, what else could a guy ask for?"

As you can see, Wee One and Bo decorated the tree this year. I was being a scrooge and didn't want to even do Christmas. We left all other decorations in their boxes, but we put up the tree. I think they did a great job. Daddy helped them with the ones on top, but they did most of it themselves. It's nice having kiddos big enough to do stuff like that. They are sweethearts.

Dewey's new favorite pasttime is lying on my bed watching Baby Einstein movies. They mezmorize him. Sometimes that is the only thing I can do to get him calmed down. He has been quite the fussy bug lately, so it's nice to get in a half an hour with him being calm!!!

This is Wee One's famous, "no one else wears fabric to school" outfit. I made her this outfit (which I think is so adorable on her) and she didn't want to wear it to school because, "Mom, no one else wears fabric to school." I said, "So do they all go naked? Cuz I'm not letting you go to school naked." I won that battle and she ended up wearing it to school where she got several comments on how cute her clothes were.

Halloween this year found us in the Hundred Acre Wood. Wee One dressed like Tigger, Bo was Pooh Bear, and Dewey was Piglet. They looked so cute!! Next year I'll have to come up with another trio of characters for them to dress like.

Wee One had a parade at school while she was dressed as Tigger. And, boy, did she play the part well. She Tigger Hopped around the entire school. Afterwards, she kept saying, "Mom, everyone thought I was so cute. They would say, 'Tigger, come give me five.' They really liked me." No self esteem issues there as you can see.

Bo and Daddy needed to clean out the chimney before we could get a fire going. Bo thought he was the coolest little guy ever being able to get on the roof with Daddy. He did a great job and didn't even cry when it was time to get down.

Wee One had a field trip with her class to a pumpkin patch. I got to tag along ; ) It was very cute to see the kids run from place to place. She seems like she knows just what she's doing whenever she is with other kids. She is quite the silly girl.

Dewey is growing up so fast I can't hardly keep up with him. He is already holding his own bottle and feeding himself biter biscuits. Next he'll be driving and going off to college. It's all down hill from here!! He still loves his mommy very much and snuggles with me most nights. (Fine, every night he sleeps in my bed with me. WHATEVER, get over it.)

Bo turned 4 a few months back. This was his "candy cake" and he loved it. I can't believe he is 4 already. Didn't I just give birth to him, like, yesterday? Yikes!! And look at that beauty next to him. She will be six in February. Six is like, old!! I was just six not too long ago I think.

Anyway, things have been going good. Everyone is happy and healthy and hanging in there. We still talk about Charlie and Chelsie quite often, and it helps heal those wounds that still seem so fresh. I think Dewey actually talks to them, once in awhile too, but he won't tell us what they said. Life is funny sometimes. I would give anything to hold my babies even for just one more minute, but at the same time, I wouldn't want to lose what I have learned because of them. To say I am a different person is putting it very lightly. I am excited and nervous to see what Heavenly Father has in store for my family. Whatever it is, we'll be ready......or at least, He'll make us ready and we'll be willing.

Angelversary

Thursday will be Charlie's Angelversary. I can't believe it has been 2 years since I held her and Chelsie in my arms. I can still feel their warm skin under my lips. I can feel the pressure on my finger as Charlie would squeeze it. My heart breaks each time I think of all the things I missed out on with them. I miss them so much. I know I will see them again someday, but it seems like forever. What special children I have, though. I am very lucky to be their mommy.

Life is Moving Quickly

It seems like I have very little time to blog lately, so this is going to be a plethora of information in one post 8 )

Dewey is growing so fast. She also tried a few front flips in, but that scared me too much.

Our New Puppy

Well, we got our puppy today. He is the sweetest little baby ever!! Here are some pictures from his birthday:

This is me, waiting for the epidural and the Pit. He was born on his Great-great-grandpa's 105th birthday. Grandpa's name was Clarence Dewey. We wanted to name him after Grandpa, but there's just not much you can do with a name like Clarence Dewey. Most of the time we call him Dewey anyway, though.

Mommy and Daddy are so glad Dewey is here and healthy. He is such a blessing to us. He has healed things in us that, even though we knew they were broken, we didn't realize how broken they truly were. He is a miracle. We know his big sisters were taking good care of him and didn't want to let him go, but we are glad that they did. We look forward to the time we call ALL be a family again together.

Wee One and Bo love Dewey so much. They would hold him all day long if I (and Dewey) would let them. Dewey loves them too. Anytime he is getting fussy and one of the kids starts talking to him, he stops crying and just stares at them. It is very cute to watch.

We will be blessing Dewey in August. We were aiming for July, but his tuxedo is still too big, so we'll wait. Because I am on Heparin (a blood thinner), we will probably have to schedule and induction prior to my due date. I would rather just go into labor naturally, but it is too dangerous being on the blood thinners. I have to be off of them for 24 hours before delivery. Hopefully the baby will give us at least that much notice--you never know with my kids. All is going well, though, and I have faith that we will have a healthy, happy baby at home within the next 33 days. And just to prove it, here is a picture of Bo's art during sacrament meeting today. As you can see, he has used my enormously pregnant belly as his empty canvas. I was never too excited about that name; it just didn't seem like that was HIS name. Anyway, tonight it was driving me crazy that this baby isn't named, so I had a face off with Daddy. We each came up with a list of 5 names that we liked. Then we traded lists. I chose one of the names he'd come up with and he chose one of the ones I'd come up with that we liked. Then we put those two names in a hat and Wee One drew one out. So it ends up that the baby's name is Eddie. I love that name!!!! Two thoughts, really: 1) Well, thanks. That's nice of you to not call me names. 2) Why were you thinking about me and fat hippos at the same time. Oh well, I guess she does have a point. Gabe has decided to grow straight out from my belly, so I am getting quite large. That's alright, though, as long as he just keeps growing like he's supposed to. He is the wiggliest (is that a word?) kid I've had by a long shot, though. Wee One liked to move in the morning, Bo at night, Charlie at lunch, and Chelsie whenever she gathered enough strength to really let me have it, but Gabe just moves constantly all day long. That's good, though. If he goes more than an hour without using my bladder as a trampoline, I start getting worried. It's kind of nice to have that constant reminder that he's okay.

I Hate Stupid People

So last night we decided to take the kids to Leo's to celebrate Daddy finishing up his interview process out at work. We pull up in the parking lot and I happen to look down and see that it is 17 degrees outside. As I opened the door to the van, I felt my nose hairs freeze together (don't you hate that). Then my eyes wonder to the car next to me and what do I find? Inside the car (mind you the car was not running therefore, no heater was on) was an infant seat, including infant, and a two-year old little girl. That's all!! No mom, dad, vicious dog, nothing. I was pissed!!! I might be a little over-sensitive to the treatment of children considering that we had a heck of a time getting pregnant to begin with and then had to let two babies go back home, but I think this would have upset me anyway. So we stand by the car for at least 5 minutes to see who would come out so I could give them a piece of my mind, and no one shows up. Finally I go inside and tell the owner what's going on, hoping he will call the police. Well, he apparently falls into that "stupid people" catergory himself. If I'd have had my cell phone, I would have just called the police myself. Anyway, he decides he needs to verify my story, so he goes outside to get the licence plate number (which I'd already given him). This ticked me off even more, so I went out to the parking lot and asked some random guy for his cell phone. I was on the phone with the police when the restaurant owner called the plate number over the PA system and the "Mother" came out to the car. Daddy gave her a few words (calmly) as she got in and drove away. I'm glad he was there because I had a few other words for her that probably wouldn't have gone over so well. Anyway, the police said they couldn't do anything about it unless they saw it themselves, so nothing happened to her. So I guess this post is a way to vent my frustrations. But don't you hate stupid people too?

It's a Boy!

We had our 20 week ultrasound and found out we are having a little boy. He looks very healthy. And apparently, he is not shy at all. The first thing the ultrasound tech said was, "Oh, it's a boy, and he's not shy about it." That's my boy!! We are very excited about it, although I'll admit, I was pulling for a girl. His due date is still June 7th. We have decided (for today) to name him Gabriel and call him Gabe. The other day I was in the bathtub and I could actually see my stomach bulge up when it would kick---and we're only 21 weeks!!!!

Anyway, I'm glad to have my computer back and be back in touch with the world again!!

FINALLY!!!

Yeah, my computer is finally back from being repaired. I was running short on time so I just threw the frosting in an old butter tub and away we went. Later in the evening, my father in law just kept going on and on about how wonderful the rolls were. He just wouldn't quit. Finally he asked his daughter how she got them so sweet. She just kind of looked at him and said, "I just made them the same way I always do." At that point, his girlfriend caught on and asked him, "Which butter did you use?" We all had a good laugh as we figured out that he'd actually been putting frosting on the rolls. I couldn't let him live it down, and kept giving him a hard time.

PART II:
Tonight I had one of those late night pregnancy cravings where I REALLY wanted Macaroni and Cheese and Hot Dogs. I made Daddy go to the store and buy all the stuff. I even made him go back to the store when I'd forgotten to have him get ketchup the first time. Well, he finally gets home with all the stuff, I get it all cooked, and we sit down to eat it. I took one bite of the Mac and Cheese and thought, "Wow, this is really sweet." Yep, I'd used the frosting instead of the butter. But just for the record, it's the first time my kids have actually finished a plate of Mac and Cheese!!! So, yes, I am a nerd!!!

New Memorial Blog

Hi All, I just wanted to let you know of a new blog I started called Idaho Angel Babies. We had gone a few days ago and set up the tree and the stockings, but I didn't feel like it was enough. It's a hard thing to do. I miss them so much. Last week as we were putting up the tree we were talking about how, if Chelsie and Charlie had lived, they would probably be pulling all the ornaments off the tree as we were putting them on. I would so love to be picking up ornaments, only decorating from three feet and up on the tree, etc. I hope there is a big celebration with lots of treats in heaven at Christmas. And I hope the girls get matching new Christmas dresses.

We decided to drive to Jackson yesterday out of sheer boredom. Daddy and I were in charge of it, so we had to get the kids ready quite a while in advance. Wee One's fake eyelashes looked adorable, but she only left them on for about 20 seconds after we left the house. And the black hair spray was cute too, but she considered it a rare form of child abuse. She screamed and cried and screamed some more. I kept telling her that it was supposed to be fun and she was going to enjoy it whether she wanted to or not, but that didn't seem to help. Bo was a "Motorcycle Dude" and was more than happy to be all bundled up in a nice warm coat. Next year's plan: buy costumes that can be zipped up as we are leaving the house.

New Baby in June

We had our first doctor appointment today for Baby #5!! Everything looks really great so far. We are due on June 7th--what a great time of year!! My doctor is going to be keeping a really close eye on me for the first little while to make sure all is good, but I think we'll be just fine. We've got two little angels on our side. We ask you all to keep us in your prayers, though. And we are open to name suggestions--especially for boys. Wee One and Bo want to name it "Butterfly" if it's a girl (which they think it is). I have better luck with boys, though, so I'm hoping for a boy. Girls are just too naughty at birth. I'll keep you updated on everything, though. I'm so excited--and baby hungry. I probably shouldn't have gotten rid of every single baby item in my house after the twins died, but I think it was all part of grieving. It was good for me. So it's back to square one for the baby items. Yeah, shopping!!!!!!!!!!!

Ridin' High

Wee One's preschool had a field trip today and Bo was more than happy to tag along. The kids got to go ride miniature horses at a local arena. Luckily Daddy was off of work and able to take them. I wasn't sure how smart it was for me to be in a barn full of hay and horses when I couldn't take any allergy medicine. The kids had a great time!! Bo even got a little rodeo action. One of the horses' saddles was rubbing, and when Bo jumped on, it started bucking around. Bo held on for dear life until Daddy grabbed him and yanked him off of the horse. Luckily, Bo didn't realize he was supposed to be afraid of things like that, and climbed right back on. Wee One said her favorite part was "going around the loop twice and then coming back". They both took great naps when they got home.

First Snow Fall

Well, it snowed for the first time today. I'll admit the name is a little misleading as far as salsa goes. I don't like anything hot (or "saucy" as my children would say), so my salsa is less than firey. I call it House Fire Salsa for a reason though. My aunt literally burned her house down while making it one time. It was the best salsa I'd ever had!!! A little expensive when you add in the cost of the house, but well worth it. Luckily, I didn't burn my house down making it and we have 17 pints to add to our food storage. On to the next project: Grapes!!

A Walk to Remember

Today we went to a special event to remember the girls. We wrote messages to them on balloons and at the end of the walk, we let them go. We also tied little teddy bears to the end of the balloons for the girls. It was a nice day and it was nice to take some time to devote to my babies.

There was a cute poem someone read that I really liked. Here it is:

Ask my Mom how she is...

My Mom, she tells a lot of lies she never did before

From now until she dies, she'll tell a whole lot more.

Ask my Mom how she is and because she can't explain,

she will tell a little lie because she can't describe the pain.

Ask my Mom how she is; she'll say "I'm alright."

If that's the truth, then tell me, why does she cry each night?

Ask my Mom how she is; she seems to cope so well.

She didn't have a choice you see, or the strength to yell.

Ask my Mom how she is, "I'm fine, I'm well, I'm coping."

For Heaven's sake Mom, tell the truth; just say your heart is broken.

She will love me all her life, I loved her all of mine.

But if you ask her how she is she'll lie and say she's fine.

I am here in Heaven, I cannot hug from here.

If she lies to you don't listen, hug and hold her near.

On the day we meet again, we'll smile and I'll be bold.

I'll say "You're lucky to get in here, Mom, with all the lies you've told!"

Happy Birthday Cobie

Yesterday was Bo's 3rd birthday.
