I Am Such A Nerd

Before I tell you the "I am a nerd" story, let me preface it with this story:

PART I:
At Thanksgiving I had made some sugar cookies for the kids to put frosting on while we were preparing dinner. I was running short on time so I just threw the frosting in an old butter tub and away we went. Later in the evening, my father in law just kept going on and on about how wonderful the rolls were. He just wouldn't quit. Finally he asked his daughter how she got them so sweet. She just kind of looked at him and said, "I just made them the same way I always do." At that point, his girlfriend caught on and asked him, "Which butter did you use?" We all had a good laugh as we figured out that he'd actually been putting frosting on the rolls. I couldn't let him live it down, and kept giving him a hard time.

PART II:
Tonight I had one of those late night pregnancy cravings where I REALLY wanted Macaroni and Cheese and Hot Dogs. I made Daddy go to the store and buy all the stuff. I even made him go back to the store when I'd forgotten to have him get ketchup the first time. Well, he finally gets home with all the stuff, I get it all cooked, and we sit down to eat it. I took one bite of the Mac and Cheese and thought, "Wow, this is really sweet." Yep, I'd used the frosting instead of the butter. But just for the record, it's the first time my kids have actually finished a plate of Mac and Cheese!!! So, yes, I am a nerd!!!

New Memorial Blog

Hi All, I just wanted to let you know of a new blog I started called Idaho Angel Babies. I'm not going to be posting much on there, other than comments, but if you'd like to take a look at it, go ahead. I have posted the ENTIRE story of my girls and hope that other angels' mommies will post their babies' stories as well. Check it out: www.idahoangelbabies.blogspot.com

Merry Christmas Girls!!

We went and finished decorating the girls' grave today. We had gone a few days ago and set up the tree and the stockings, but I didn't feel like it was enough. It's a hard thing to do. I miss them so much. Last week as we were putting up the tree we were talking about how, if Chelsie and Charlie had lived, they would probably be pulling all the ornaments off the tree as we were putting them on. I would so love to be picking up ornaments, only decorating from three feet and up on the tree, etc. I hope there is a big celebration with lots of treats in heaven at Christmas. And I hope the girls get matching new Christmas dresses.
